How does the anti spam work and can we have access to it in case an error has been made and it is not spam?

We have 3 different configurations of your anti-spam account which will be explained during the production process... all are effective and yes, you get access to your spam account at all times... plus you have the ability to put people in either black lists or white lists... so yes your anti-spam account is fully accessible by you... also we have form verification on all your website forms as this seems to be a new way for spammers to pelt you... also you may wish for us to block all traffic and emails from China as it seems this country is now number 1 in the world for originating malicious stuff. Can explain more when we (hopefully) meet.

 

Can you advise more on what Technical support we would receive, eg, is it limited to just the website or would it include issues with Credit Card payments for example.  Also you mention UK office hours, what happens outside those times?

Tech support includes full support of all website functionality and server/hosting issues... all functionality form our side is supported and usually identified as one of the following.... Technical support (something on your site not working), Training (something you don't know how to do or need more training, a training session will then be scheduled free of charge if we haven't addressed the issue before in a separate training session), Development.. something you may "wish" as additional website development. Your site is monitored 24 hours a day, so we would know instantly if your website was "down" even at 2am and attend to the issue. If the Credit card issue was for example for an order of course we would help, but sometimes if the issue is with Barclaycard or HSBC for example and their systems, naturally they need to support their own systems.

 

With regard to Web Optimisation, how often is this done, daily?, weekly? And what is the measure of success that you use.

Brick technology utlise all aspects of SEO to greater success than any other web company we know... this is a joint effort between you and us and many different weapons in our arsenal are used on a daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal schedule. It is not merely submitting your site to search engines but many, many different tasks.

 

Can you define the e mail allocation of 100mb what if over, how much will the cost be?

POP3 account and cost is included in the proposal.

 

What training is included in the cost and are there any additional costs?

Usually... 1 x overview session during production (2 hours) plus 1 workshop session during production (2 hours) and then usually 1 or 2 more sessions during the year to cover specific things of your choice. These are at no cost.

 

What software will we need to run the website, is there a cost to this?

As long as you have a computer that runs ok, can connect to the Internet and you have Internet Explorer browser version 6 or higher you can totally administrate your website from any computer on the planet. No special software or programming skills are required to run your online business. (Though of course you'll need a printer to print out your orders.)

 

If the website has a problem, what will the end customer see, an apology screen???

Dont' quite understand this question... but... I hope not, our websites function to the highest standards and are fully functional... should the user make a mistake in entry.. they will be prompted to re-enter their data.

 

If the site crashes due to problems with the host server do we have any redress for loss of business?

You have no redress to us... we have clients doing over £4 million and in the unlikely event of their site going down for whatever reason we work tirelessly to repair, but in our last 11 years of business the longest down time any of our clients have had is 4 hours (due to a hardware failure). You can insure yourself for this on your regular business insurance policy if you wish.

 

What is priority 1,2, 3 etc?

How does a RSS feed work and what input would be needed from us?

RSS is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. An RSS document, which is called a "feed", "web feed", or "channel", contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favourite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually. No input is required by you as this is all fed from your regular website content.

 

Can you breakdown what the £90/ month charge is from month 13, is this for support?
